Glutathione amino acid information and Max GXL

Glutathione is actually a tri-peptide made up the amino acids gamma-glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine and is also known as gamma-glutamylcysteinylglycine or GSH. It is as such not an amino acid, but because of its close relationship to amino acids, is dealt with here. It is found in the largest concentrations in the liver.


It is a powerful antioxidant found in the body itself and detoxifies the harmful compounds in the liver, where it is then excreted through the bile. Only the body manufactures gsh. There is no supplement which can penetrate the stomach, making gsh supplements useless.

However, Dr Robert Keller developed is an process known under the brand name Max GXL which penetrates the stomach and goes to the cells themselves to assist in the production of Gsh. It is NOT Gluthione or Glutathione. It is an accelerator, not gsh itself.
