Recent developments between 12DailyPro and Stormpay are not encouraging for the paid to auto surf industry. Stormpay shut the huge powerhouse of paid to auto surf venues down this past week by freezing their account. This derailed all pending payments to the members. 12DailyPro Admin is at a loss as to the reason for the suspension although she does report that Stormpay had made demands that they remove EMO as their alternative payment processor.
12DailyPro had recently switched to EMO citing concerns dealing with their previous processor E-Gold. E-Gold is currently being investigated by the FBI. Over the weekend (01-31-06) Stormpay suspended 12DailyPro without warning or notice. 12DailyPro reported to members that Stormpay demanded 12dp drop EMO and use Stormpay exclusively. 12DP capitulated to their demands, but to no avail apparently. As of 02-02-06 12DP account remains frozen and they are unable to retrieve funds or process payments to their members.
Admin at 12DailyPro reports that many other paid to auto surf sites have recently seen their accounts frozen by Stormpay. This could be a result of the rash of abuse by some high profile paid to surf venues in 2005. If this is the case, then what Stormpay is doing is painting all paid to auto surf sites with the same brush - which is ethically wrong.
12DailyPro attorneys have contacted Stormpay asking for a quick resolution of the matter. Failing this, 12DailyPro states:
Barring a legitimate explanation by Stormpay within a timely manner, we will be filing immediate legal action to recover all our funds by legal force if necessary so we can meet our responsibilities to all of our StormPay members in a timely fashion.

Does anyone know if there is a connection between Studiotraffic and Stormpay. Its a fascinating coincidence that Studiotraffic made an announcement about it restructuring and coming out fighting for 2006 at exactly the same time that Stormpay does the dirty on Studiotraffic's competitors.
