Marketing with Traffic Exchanges, Strategies:

Marketing withTraffic Exchanges, whether manual or auto, do a couple of neat things for you:
1. They show your sites/links off to the members
2. They boost your rankings at Search Engines

Once you join a site you need to do a few things:
1. Observe the rules of the Exchange:
In a perfect world all sites would be acceptable on Surf sites. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world and not all sites are able to run on the surf. Read the site FAQs, tos, rules and etc to see what will and what will not run on the surf.

Generally speaking, anything which disrupts the surf will not run.
Note: you cannot just put anything and everything up and let Admin sort it out for you. You need to be responsible for your links. You may not have control over the content of the site but you need to know if the break frame, have pop ups, exit pages and etc. Then, you need to know what is acceptable at each particular surf site.

2. Surf a little:
Surfing is the lifeblood of every exchange
Do you email market? If you do you know you spend some time posting your ads. Same principle applies for surf sites. You need to surf a little (or a lot if you can - what ever time you have available). Now you do not view your own sites (or rotate them for that matter) when you surf. However, you view and rotate other sites! And, while you are doing this, other members are viewing and rotating YOUR sites. Pretty cool all in all.

When you email market, especially using safe lists, you are expected to receive email in return for sending your own. Same principle applies with the exchanges: other members surf and view and create hits to your sites - you are expected to do likewise. This is what makes the entire industry WORK!

3. Be cautious in your investing.
Many sites have gone to paid to surf as an incentive to get members to surf their sites. While most are fr.ee, the net pay is small and the payout levels high for fr.ee memberships. The bigger money and lower payout levels for the surfers are found on upgraded accounts. Research a site thoroughly before investing your money.
Do not simply invest on the word of the site owner/admin or your referrer.

a. Run the site through the search engines and see what comes up. Example, someone wants you to invest in a site called cashitz, simply type the name (without www or .whatever) into a search and see what comes up on the list.

b. Run the domain (www.whatever.whatever) thorough a Whois look up. I like this site because I find it easy to use: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jhtml

c. Collect some boards, forums and blogs which watch dog sites or have places for members to place relevant posts. Read what is going on and take notes. Weigh what is being said and posted. See how the owner/admin responds to posts and or criticism.

d. Constantly monitor the site, the boards and etc. Past performance is no indicator of present or future.

XtreamNet has 5 Traffic exchanges which are both manual and auto surf and are also paid to surf venues. http://www.xtreamsurf.com/, http://www.ptrsurf.net/, http://www.shoppersuf.com/, http://www.gamersurf.com/ and http://www.powerpaysurf.com/ All except http://www.gamersurf.com/ feature Investment Surf in addition to regular membership level surf. All except http://www.powerpaysurf/ are fr.ee to join.
